Dr. Aoife OSullivan, MD

Dr. Aoife OSullivan, MD. has been practicing medicine for over twenty years and am board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and have completed additional training perimenopause and menopause care and am a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. Throughout my time in medicine, she has seen and treated a wealth of illnesses and injuries in many different settings. What she has  enjoyed most of all are the connections she has  built with my patients.

She was born and raised in Ireland and moved to the United States in 2004. She attended medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin and completed my family medicine residency at Dublin’s James Connolly Memorial Hospital. She moved to the U.S. and completed a second family medicine residency at the University of Maryland. She worked in family practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, and spent four years working at a specialty clinic for the LGBTQ community providing HIV and transgender care.

She chose family medicine after rotating through all specialties during her training. Family medicine gives her a daily dose of each of the specialties she loves, and work is never boring! She enjoys giving personalized care and believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healthcare. She is a strong proponent of shared decision making and want patients to feel heard, seen, and know that she will guide them with the most up-to-date, evidence-based medicine and guidelines. The more time spent with each patient, and the stronger the  relationship, the better she can help them improve their long-term health, happiness and longevity.

When shes not caring for patients she loves to travel and take day-trips with her family. She's an avid skier, tennis player, and reader. She devours books and takes great pleasure in experimenting with new recipes, always striving for that Paul Hollywood handshake of approval from her two daughters!
